Introduction

PCB files can be visualised with Rollup after adding them as an attachment to any block. After upload, a thumnail view of the board will be generated. Clicking on the attachment thumbnail will open the preview dialog, where users can open the dedicated board viewer.

Board Viewer

The board viewer allows users to interactively view combinations of layers in the PCB. Layers are generated from the PCB file using the KiCAD software package.

Controls

  • Click and drag the left mouse button to pan the view

  • Scroll with the mouse wheel to zoom in/out

  • Fit zoom, zoom in or out using the buttons on the bottom left

  • Hover over a layer name to hightlight the layer.

  • Click on a layer name to show only that layer, or to show all layers

  • Click on the layer checkbox to toggle a specific layer

Supported files

Currently, the following file formats are supported:

  • KiCAD board files (kicad_pcb)

  • ZIP files of individual Gerber board layers

  • Altium board files (pcbdoc)
