The Rollup platform is designed to streamline hardware and system development processes by providing a centralized workspace with various modules for modeling, requirements management, analysis, reporting, and hardware cataloging.

Interface Walkthrough

Top Control Bar

The top control bar is the main horizontal menu at the top of the platform interface. It provides essential navigation and status information, as well as quick access to various tools and settings.

Top Left

  • Organization dropdown: Displays the current organization and allows you to switch between different organizations if you have access to multiple ones. It also shows recently accessed organizations and provides options to create a new organization or manage existing ones.

  • Workspace Dropdown: Displays the current workspace, recently viewed workspaces, and recently updated workspaces. Options to create, import, export, duplicate, and copy workspaces.

  • Search Icon (Command + K): Opens the command bar for quick navigation and actions.

Top Right

  • API Connection Status: Indicates connection to Rollup's API, latency, database, organization details, and version information.

  • Changelog Button: Provides access to the latest updates and changes in the platform, helping you stay informed about new features and fixes.

  • Help Button: Access to documentation, feedback, version information, and change log.

  • User Profile: Displays account information, theme settings (light, dark, automatic), and sign-out option.

Primary Sidebar (Left)

The primary left sidebar contains all of Rollup's primary Modules. This is how a user navigates across the platform to specific areas of functionality.

  • **Inbox: **Manage all incoming notifications, tasks, and updates related to your projects. It consolidates alerts and messages, helping you stay organized and on top of important changes or actions required.

  • **Modeling Module: **Create and manage system models. It provides tools for building block diagrams, defining relationships, and setting parameters. This module is essential for visualizing and organizing the components of your system.

  • **Requirements Module: **Capture, manage, and trace requirements throughout the project lifecycle. It ensures that all stakeholder needs and system specifications are documented and linked to relevant models and tests.

  • **Analysis Module: **Tools for performing various analyses on your models and data. This can include simulations, trade studies, and performance evaluations to ensure that your designs meet the necessary criteria and optimize system performance.

  • Reports Module (soon to be Knowledge Base): Create detailed project reports, including model summaries, requirement traceability, and analysis results. Soon, it will become the Knowledge Base, a central repository for all your project documentation and information, making it easier to find and share insights.

  • **Hardware Catalog Module: **Your product data management (PDM) solution. It allows you to catalog and manage hardware components, their properties, and configurations. This module supports efficient hardware selection and configuration management.

  • **Data Sources Module: **Integrate external data sources with Rollup. You can link data from spreadsheets, databases, and other systems, allowing for dynamic data retrieval and synchronization within your models and analyses.

  • **Imports Module: **Facilitates the import of external files and data into Rollup. This can include CAD files, documents, and other relevant data, making it easier to incorporate existing information into your projects.

  • **Invite User Button: **Allows you to quickly add new team members to your workspace. Simply click the button, enter their email address, and send the invitation. This streamlines the process of bringing new users into your Rollup environment.

  • Documentation Button: Provides access to comprehensive guides and help resources. It is your go-to source for understanding how to use Rollup's features and troubleshooting common issues.

  • Live Chat Button: Live Chat Button connects you with Rollup support. Use this feature to get real-time assistance with any problems or questions you might have while using the platform.

  • Send Feedback Button: enables you to report bugs, ask questions, or suggest new features. Your feedback helps improve the platform and ensures that it meets your needs effectively.

Secondary Sidebar (Left)

Context-dependent sidebar that changes what options are available based on the currently selected module.
